Beltane 2018

Beltane 2018 was officiated by the Coven’s High Priestess, Syleena.
At Beltane (May 1), when Nature is truly flourishing, the Goddess and God unite. This ensures the abundance of the next harvest. At this time, the Goddess becomes pregnant, thus assuring the continuation of life. Beltane is a time of love and great celebration, and we cherish the joys which life offers us. For this is the night of the Greenwood Marriage. It is about sexuality and sensuality, passion, vitality and joy. And about conception. Beltane brings ideas, hopes and dreams into action. And have some fun. Beltane is a time of freedom, of cleansing,of growth and choice, of letting go with delightful abandon. Beltane is creativity and creation, bringing ideas and plans to life. Lighting the Beltane fires on the first of May was a symbolic move to recall the growing power of the sun and cleanse the community of the dark months spent indoors. In Scotland, cattle were traditionally driven around these fires and the community would dance and leap over the flames!
